1st in most high end dealerships, it is rare that the customers see the
dealership. Cars are picked up at the customers office or home, a replacement
car is left of their use. Their car is returned cleaned and the customer's
day is not altered because of a problem with the car. As many Jag customers
have been know to say when asked about the expense of owning a Jag. Yea, it's
expensive, but they make everything so easy it's worth it.
As far as lease residual values are concerned. They are all heavily
subsidized by the manufacturer. The perfect example is Mercedes, why do you
think 90% of Benzs are leased through MBCC? Then try and get out of an MBCC
lease. Are you trading on another Mercedes? Your pay off is X, oh your not
getting another Mercedes? Your payoff is X + $$$$$$$$$$$$$$. I
