Loose 164 Steering Wheel

The steering wheel of my '90 164 has become loose.

I'm normally a cheque-book mechanic but would like to have a go at this myself
as
it may be within my limited skills and resources to fix.

Has anyone had this problem before and how have they fixed it?

How do I get the steering wheel off to start with?

There's nothing in the 164 Tech notes about this,
