You adjust the A/C belt by the shims.  The pulley is a two piece affair
held on by five bolts.  You will need to pull the radiator, but once you
do you will see the bolts and can adjust the shims.  I did not need to
remove the 38mm nut on the crank pulley, just the five bolts.
