164 Cooling & GTV-6 Questions

First off, I have some questions pertaining to my '91 164L:

1. Did the new low speed fan resistor (replacing the old resistor)
boost the electicity to the fan on low speed? I have installed the new
resistor and I can not seem to get the low fan to come on. Then one of
my friends suggested that Alfa might have "boosted" the electrical
output of the new resistor thus, making the low speed seem more like the
old high speed. Follow me?
1a. Has anyone replaced the stock fan motor with an aftermarket fan
motor that has more CFM and fits into the fan shroud like the original?

2. I have installed aftermarket 9004 lights in my 164L that are of
85/100 watts respectively. I have notcied that the connectors are
melting because of the higher power. Are there any others connectors I
can install to correct this problem?

3. My steering rack moves side to side when I turn the steering wheel.
I have replaced the lower bushing and I have been told the top bushing
needs to be replaced as well. Is this possible? The rack leaks no oil
and works fine otherwise with some "minor" clunking noise when turning.

4. I have noticed recently on start up in the morning some hesitation
before the car gets going. I give the car some gas and it clears out
and does not do it again until the next morning on cold start up. What
gives?

Now for the GTV-6 questions:

1. I am having some AC work done on my '84 GTV-6 and the shop where I
have taken the car wants to know if the car has two dryers?

2. Also, will the AC schematic for the Milano work for the V-6?

Please advise.
