I recently purchased an 83 Spider Veloce (without a doubt, the most fun car
to drive I have ever owned, or driven). Neither the paint nor upholstery is
in that bad of condition, but I want to get her back in as good of shape as
possible as quickly as possible.
Does anyone in the Twin Cities' area have a recommendation for me for
painting the car and the bumpers and alloy wheels? How about
upholstery--I've heard good things about Superior Upholstery in Maple
Grove/Brooklyn Center area and Dick & Rick's in Bloomington--any experience?
Also, general repair issues--I've been going to Autopia, in Uptown, and they
seem fine. However, they aren't all that convenient for me (I'm in the
western suburbs (Plymouth)) and they don't specialize in Alfas--any
suggestions out here? The PO was very fond of F&D on Minnehaha Ave in S.
Mpls/Richfield area (I hope that's the correct name of the shop, although
they're even further away!). He did say, however, that the owner was a bit
cranky.
