London to Paris

Well, as someone who lives in Manhattan, and goes regularly to London and 
somewhat less regularly to Paris :-(,  I can tell you that they are all 
perfectly driveable cities.  Would it be too cliche to say that, 'millions of 
people do it every day'??!!  Doing it in one day, however, is not such a good 
idea, as you'd spend lots of time driving and not so much time seeing the 
wonders of Paris.

There's a marvelous alternative - the Eurostar train - which will make the 
trip to and from the center of both cities in something like 3 hours, and 
include the Channel Tunnel as an extra added attraction!  Both cities have 
great public transportation systems once you get there, and, of course, both 
offer many tour-bus options for those in need of a quick overview of 
everything.

Enjoy - by all means, try to do it - and eat as much as you can while there!
