Alfa and a train

This morning newspapers here in Scandinavia have reports about a
train accident. In the early morning when the sun was low and
raising, a SAAB 9000 noticed the warning lights too late when
crossing a railroad. He was braking in panic and the car stopped
just over the rails and the train was coming. The car behind hit
the SAAB and the engine was suddenly dead.
The driver in the other car tried to pull the SAAB away but didn't
manage totally and the train hit the SAAB with the driver still
inside. Fortunately he was not hurt but the SAAB was a mess.
Well, the car that hit him from behind was an Alfa (of course the
newspapers inform us of anything involving Alfas and accidents) on
its way to the junk-yard. the driver felt kinda sad and depressed
'cause he did not want to part from his old friend. Due to the
accident, the law took his dear old Alfa to the car cemetery on a
truck. The Alfa? It was a Berlina 2000.

The Alfa Romeo Roundtail Spider sites. Now more than 780
roundtails in the register. This probably makes it the biggest
Alfa Romeo register on the web.
Old enough to remember when girls were girls, Alfa Romeo had
Weber carburetors and Jerry Lee Lewis was "the Killer".
