Footnote to Dana's reprise on 75 Euro bumpers

Dana comments that "the multi-piece US-style bumper was used on all 3.0 V6s,
regardless of where sold; the 75 1.8 Turbo "America"; and 2.5 l V6s sold in
selected European markets including, I believe, Switzerland and Sweden."

According to d'Amico and Tabucchi the 75 1.8i Turbo differed from the other
fours in having extended wheel arches, wider wheels and body-colored bumpers
until July 1987 when it was face-lifted with the "massive US-norm
energy-absorbing bumpers" as well as the "America" trim of the 3.0 which was
rebaptized as the "America".

The "selected European markets including - - Switzerland and Sweden" suggests
a link to broader US specs; d'Amico and Tabucchi list from 1987 "Alfa 75 2.5
V6 America con marmitta catalitica destinata a Svizzera, Austria, Germania e
Svezia."

Dana is certainly correct that (again, according to d'A-T) not all Euro V6s
used the accordion bumper.
