'89 Spider: Plastic cover on front badge

Speaking of Alfa badges....

When I washed my Spider last weekend, the plastic cover on the front (where 
a grille would be if it had a grille) badge came off. I have no idea how to 
re-attach it. Will this cause problems in the future? Do I just need to get 
a new badge?
