Maybe not, just look at the going rate for an early to mid 80's BMW 6 series 
($2,000-$7,000) or a Porsche 928 ($3,000-$10,000), or a Jag XJ6 
($2,000-$6,000).
These cars cost two to five times as much when new and yet are worth about 
the same as a GTV6. By this scale us Alfa nuts are way less cheep then we're 
made out to be.
