Milano brakes

I have a similar problems with the brakes on my Milano that Obie described
about his GTV6.

The brake pedal sinks all the way to the floor. The brakes have pretty good
stopping power, but you have to press the pedal all the way to floor to stop
the car all the way. I've driven the car around town like this, but it's
not a safe feeling. If I jam the pedal all the way up against the wall, I
can even lock up the wheels, but untill I press the brake pedal about 1 inch
from the end, it feels like the brakes have no effect.

The calipers have been replaced but it didn't help. We've bled the brake
lines several times, still no change. Tried putting in another master
cylinder, still no improvement. Any suggestions?

Last time I took the car out, something even stranger has developed. Now my
brake lights (in the back) are on ALL the time. Even if I'm not pressing on
the pedal and the car is off. Didn't have time to investigate yet. Could
just be a bad connection, right? Where should I look first?

For now I just took out the fuse, to keep the battery from draining, but
that's not the solution, cause now I have no brake lights.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Peter
