I just replaced the wooden section of my '74 gtv's dash last weekend.  It was 
held on by only the 2000 emblem, just above the glovebox.  The clips that 
held the badge on were accessible from the glovebox, just reach up.

It was not obvious to me how to remove the glove box...... While in there, I 
discovered that it has a light in it! (no bulb though.....)
