i'm enjoying the heck out of this saga, much like when john smallwood did
his last rally.  keep the updates coming!!  (but don't let them get in the
way of setting your record).

at what point do you swap out the current motor and try some runs with the
others you brought with you?

btw, i went up to the web site that was posted the other day and searched
for 'alfa'.  the results are pretty current, and there's a picture of
another alfa spider with a chevy motor in it (206 mph).
