I like Starrett micrometers and verniers. Nice quality and last a
lifetime. <http://www.starrett.com/>, they should be able to tell you
where a dealer is located near you. There are some others which are very
good as well ... do a search for "machine tools" and "micrometers" with
your favorite web search program.
