164 S steering rack leak - opinions ?

The car has been sitting for a month and I just noticed a little leak where 
there never was one before (near right wheel).

I'm inclined to drive it until it gets worse and just add fluid.  

Any thoughts ?  Any idea on how far away failure may be ?  75K miles on this 
car.

Now if it was a water pump........
