I just put an LSD from a 79 Spider in my 71 1750 GTV.  It was a very easy
swap, as long as you consider lugging that heavy unit around and getting it
up into position under the car easy.  I used jack stands on wheels to help
it along.  Very straight forward though.  I believe the ratios should be the
same.
