Suspension/Allignment and Discount Mechanics

I am a starving student with a 91' 164L which has completely worn out it's
shocks.  I found front and rear shocks through the 'International Auto
Parts' catalogue for 170 and 150$ each.  I'm trying to have them put in and
the car aligned for a relatively cheap price and I was wondering what people
think about discount mechanics like Minekee, Midas, Pet Boys or Sears.  Is
there anything special about the 164 suspension that needs to be addressed
by a qualified mechanic?
