The big reason why you don't want a RHD car in a LHD country is that it's
harder to avoid head-on collisions. They'll let a few old Rolls Royce or
Bentley cars do it, but the majority are better off without it. The mail
carriers do it because it's safer for them not to have to get out of the
vehicle at every mailbox, not to mention more time-efficient. US Mail
carriers are also Federal employees who are not bound by local traffic
laws.

For the oddball list: In the US Virgin Islands, they drive on the left,
but they buy US spec LHD cars (mostly Japanese). The islands are so small, 
and have so few cars, it's not a real problem.
