Springs

I am about to replace the rear shocks in my 74 Spider with Red Konis.  I
was wondering if i should also replace the springs as well.  They are not
broken but they are 25 years old.any thoughts? Or does the old adage if
it's not broken, don't fix it.  Is this a hard procedure?  Or is it better
to take it to a shop?
