re: Dead Spider Update (when spider fp runs)

My experience is limited to the adapted '82 Bosch powertrain in the '79
Spider chassis.

The fp runs whenever the ignition is on, to keep pressure in the EFI fuel
rail. This might be an artifact of the adapted fuel delivery system but
it seems to be consistent with what I see in the '82 engine manual.
There's a fuel feed line which goes from the tank's submerged pump to the
main pump, through the filter, and up to the injector rail. A fuel return
line, exiting from the fuel pressure regulator at the end of the injector
rail, returns the excess fuel.

The ignition ECU is a separate box from the injection ECU ... they're
about the same size and both mount behind the passenger seat, one under
the package tray and the other to the side of the convertible top well.
