most likely, the end of the tach needle is sticking against the tach face.
*they all do this!* :>)
dissassemble, carefully heat the end of the needle (i put an envelope between
the face & the needle), bend back, reassemble & install. try not to pull off
the needle, it's difficult to get it back in the rite position...
