I'm curious what media you are referring to.  To get the inside of my Super 
really clean of mastic, paint & (the obejct of the exercise) rust, I had it 
sand blasted.  Worked great, and was very inexpensive - on the order of $ 
150.  The blaster was very leary of anything to do w/ the external panels, 
was afraid the heat and impact would warp those panels (I'm talking about 
roof, door skins etc. - stuff that he would assuredly hit from the inside), 
so I spent a lot of time masking that stuff off w/ heavy cardboard.  I have 
another acqaintance that did have the outside of his car blasted - I'm not 
positive, but I think w/ a fine "sand", the panels were smooth, but felt like 
sharkskin. 
You sound like you've had sucess w/ this method, what method ezzackly are you 
talking about (for future reference!).
