I am in the process of replacing the rear axle in my 71 GTV.  I have a
vibration at speed, and it turned out to be carrier bearings.  I haven't
finished pulling the axle off the donor car, but it seems like its a
straight forward process.  I'm also picking up a limited slip diff in the
process.  Other obvious things to verify are U-Joints (correct Alpha Romero
items that aren't available at Pep Boys), donut, and the support bearing.
All those are new on my car, and the vibration I used to have has gone down
considerably.  Now that last little bit...
