Sorry but I beg to differ. I have the K&N panel filter in my airbox. It does give
some extra top end umph. I also cut a big hole in my airbox and glued on a bigger
PVC pipe to get more air. Reason? I have a 3.0 engine but the airbox is one from a
2.5. Made a difference for me. Perhaps you were referring to the cone filters? Then
I agree, waste of money.

I dunno about performance chip but how does a chip differ to the DiMatteo special
L-Jetronic ECU? I posted a few digest ago about a device that can convert the
Jetronic AFM into an MAF for about $550 (not Split Second). The device was used on a
BMW E28 535i and the owner said it made a big difference in throttle response.
