Lower cost parts and Cylinder head mods

I'm in the process of rebuilding two 2.0 L. Alfa engines in a 1973 Spider and
a 1974 Spider. The '74 will be used for road racing, and the '73 is a high
performance street car. In the past, I have used Centerline and Alfa Ricambi
for my parts.
Has anyone ordered from some other company that sells Alfa parts that might
be less expensive? (Pistons and liners, larger valves, bearings, gaskets,
sending units, etc.)

The combustion chambers have a raised area between the valves (eyebrow).
When porting these heads should that be modified, removed completely, or left
alone? Besides larger intake valves and radiusing the valve seat, what (if
anything) else can be done to make the heads flow better?

I'm new to this board and haven't figured out how to access the archives yet.
So please bear with me if this topic has been discussed in the past.
