turbo vs. norm/aspirated

I didn't mean to get into any arguments about
advantages/disadvantages of turbos or any thing else.

Someone said that you can't match "X" lb/ft of torque
or horsepower, without a turbo, and all I was asking
was; At what rpm does that peak occur and what are the
numbers 1000-2000rpm on either side?
As far as reliability... I don't see where larger
valves, some port work, an aftermarket ignition and
EFI, will reduce reliability that much. As far as
compression ratio goes... what do you think that turbo
does to piston loads and cylinder pressures?
The Turbocharger itself, on street driven performance
cars, will seldom last 200,000 miles and I can do a
lot of refresh on an engine for what a replacement
turbo costs.
I have nothing against turbos! I know they can make
whatever horsepower your wallet can stand. To say
that the horsepower and torque that they make is
achieved with equal driveability and reliability to
normally aspirated (gasoline) engines, doesn't wash.
IMHO
