Callaway different than 3.0L conversion

I own a Callaway and have driven 3.0L Gtv6's. They are very different beasts.
Unless extensive mods are made (more than cams) the power difference is
significant. They power/torque curves are also very different between these
cars. I am aware of a few Gtv6's and even a Alfetta that actually produce
more power but the final cost of the mods greatly exceeded the price of my
Callaway (which was less than the 16.9K but the car is less than pristine).
Also the Callaways have proven to be no less reliable than the regular Gtv6
cars. Reeves Callaway is nothing if not conservative in his engineering.

I'm glad that you like your modified Gtv6, but if you are waiting for
Callaways to fall to 8-10k you have a long wait with only 33 cars in
existance (I believe there were 33 plus 2 prototypes but I have been told at
least 2 have been totaled). Don't buy the Callaway to collect it, like all
Gtv6 cars it doesn't like to sit (ask mine as I fiddle with all kinds of
stuff from it sitting too long).
