SPICA warm start problem

Just trying to remember the logic of Spica while at work -

But it sounds like the cold start solenoid is out of adjustment. This activates when you crank the starter, so that jives with the fact that it starts when you push start it.

The cheap and for some reason common solution is to wire a switch on the dash inline with the cold start solenoid, to disconnect it when warmed up.

The REAL solution is to either a) buy the Spica manual from AROC and follow the tune up procedures precisely, or b) find a nearby Spica guru to put everything right.

Tuning it yourself would result in a much more intimate knowledge of the Spica system, and the excuse to buy some neat new tools (dummy thermostatic actuator, etc.) but for the sake of all that's holyand the gods of Inezione, don't jump in without the manual. Everything's interrelated on the Spica system, and adjusting one thing affects everything else - that's why there's a specific order of adjustments and checks.
