I have fussed my Spider's steering box adjustment several times since I
put it on the road, inching up on the right setting. I find it a little
difficult to feel just when all the play is consumed and before it starts
binding, so I have crept up to a point now where it feels precise and
fluid without binding. Just about no play on center, a little bit as you
go off center.
When you have it too tight, it's pretty obvious: the steering feels numb
and doesn't return to center properly when driving.

I have the CarDisc CDs which have as much information as I've needed.
