GTV-6/Milano Euro-Downpipes

Good morning all,

First I'd like to thank all those who gave advice concerning my 164 vs
GTV-6 question. At present the purchase is hung up in red-tape (i.e
parents) but as my Milano is still in limbo, I can't afford to continue
taking buses between cities...

Anyway, I've had to replace the front exhaust section of my Milano and
went ahead and tried the ANSA European downpipes... Now obviously this
bypasses the cat, which will make things interesting come emissions
testing time (not for about 1.5 years). Furthermore, there is no
provision for the oxygen sensor and I'm positive that there shouldn't be
one and that I'll simply disconnect it and keep it until I need it..
However, the work is being done at a garage and they're insisting that
they going to have to tap the one downpipe and insert the O2 sensor
in.... Of course I don't want them to do to this and they're giving me a
myriad of reasons why they have to..

Can anyone back me up on this... Had the pipes needed an O2 sensor, it
would have had provision for it correct?..... The garage promised they
would have the car ready for me yesterday as I needed it to get back to
Toronto for the week... and now its not anywhere close.......

Thanks in advance to all those who either confirm/rebute my beliefs....
