I do not have the impression that '81 or '84 reads low.  <If> Alfa in '83
cut the same diameter output shaft, same spiral gear; used the same
spacing to the sender and same sender <and> the same speedo (including any
adjustment), it <would> read low....? (or another year four-pulse speedo
would read low).
