Milano speedo

Jess,
  My '89 Gold speedo is on the way out too.  Sometimes it just doesn't work 
at all.. other times it is fine.  Sometimes when it is not working, i can 
punch in the odometer reset and it starts to work.. sometimes that does not 
make it work.  Always before it starts to work, it goes all the way over to 
140 mph then comes back to the true speed.  Does any of this sound familiar 
to you?
  This weekend i am going to try to take it out of the dash and resolder 
joints and clean connections.
