administrivia: stopping the gun discussion

when i said stop it, i didn't mean "get in the last word and then stop it,
unless someone else gets in the last word".

i meant stop it.

any postings on the subject subsequent to, say, noon today EST, will get
the responsible parties on the block list.

and this isn't censorship, this is merely enforcement of long standing list
policy, for lists which run on server hardware which i purhased and
configured, and the bandwidth for which i pay for, with the help of
donations by car enthusiasts who want this server used for _automotive_
discussions.

and thanks to those of you who donated for helping out; Bill did a good job
with the welty fund and it has made a big difference. i'm sure that the
_car enthusiasts_ who donated want the list to focus on its intended
purchase, and not an interminable and unresolvable argument about guns.

if anyone wants to build a server for gun discussions, pay for the
bandwidth, and have those discussions, feel free. however, the first
amendment does _not_ give anyone the right to co-opt someone else's
resources to support their freedom of speech.
