re: Leak around top of radiator.

I've had a few weepy radiator leaks on my '86 Spider and usually at the
same location. They have occurred on the side sections where the
mounting flange is located. A radiator shop said that radiators of this
design tend to do this; the mounting flange causes the leak as the car
body twists and turns and puts stress on the soldered seams. He
mentioned that Jeep radiators had the same problem.

As a temporary fix, I used some two-part radiator epoxy that you can
get at just about any auto parts place. Easy to use but you have to
make sure that the area to be patched is dry and clean, otherwise the
stuff will not last long.

BTW, I put 10 quarts of oil in my GTV and now can drive to work (16
miles) on oil pressure alone! Thanks for the tip, Len....
