RE: GTV dash cap

the dash caps are intended to be installed on top of the existing dash.  i
have found, however, that there are fitting problems in and around the air
vents.

for the dash on my '71 gtv (the best year) i drew a fine line along the
front edge of the dash where the dash cap ends, then cut along that line and
peeled off all the dash covering above it.  i then glued the dash cap in
place, and the fit is excellent.

had all gauges, wiring, and radio installed and was days away from
installing the dash when i came across one in excellent condition.  so, if
anybody is interested in a '71 gtv dash with cap installed, i'm entertaining
offers..
