3.0 litre conversion questions.

I'm in the installation phase of a 3.0 conversion on my GTV6. The donor
engine is from a 41,000 mile 164. I have a few basic questions. First, I
do have a manual so I could probably look some of this up, but I'm just
looking for some experienced opinion. Second, I know the 164 came with
Motronic, which I planned on using, but for a variety of reasons I've
decided to use the existing L-Jet system in my car at this point.

1.) My new 3.0 is now on an engine stand, how does one get the 164 crank
pulley off without flipping the entire stand??? any tips ?? I have the
right tools, (including a 3/4 " drive 41 mm socket and large breaker bars)
I'm looking for some seasoned experience on how to do this right the first
time. I'm guessing the proper procedure is locking down the flywheel
somehow and using a large wrench on the pulley. Remember, it's out of the
car so the starter trick won't work.

2.) I've removed the intake runners and it appears that there has been some
porting work done to the heads. How would I identify If I hit the jackpot
and unknowingly picked up an engine with Sperry Heads ???

3.) How would one identify s-cams?? Is there a number on them??

4.) I'm swapping over the oil pump, lower and upper oil pan from a 3.0
verde motor I have. At the final stages, does the new oil pump need to be
primed or anything ??? I know this is an issue in some engines.

5.) I'll be using the distributor from my 2.5 GTV6. Will the distributor
drive match up with that found on a 164L motor. It's there, just blanked
off.

6.) I'll be using the flywheel and bellhousing from a 3.0 Verde motor. I
have a starter from my 2.5 and the 164. Which is the right one to use, I'm
assuming the 164. I can always count the teeth.

7.) Is there a difference between the intake plenum on the 2.5 vs. 3.0 ?
Is the 3.0 larger? I haven't pulled out the calipers yet, but they appear
identical. What about throttle bodies??

8.) I'm replacing the water pump, timing belt, accessory belts, etc. at
this point. The crank and cam seals are not leaking at this point.
Anything else I should consider replacing with the engine on the stand. It
only has 41,000 miles on it.

Any advice, opionions etc. welcome.
