hi zamani, you said:

====================
i put 's' cams on my werde a few years ago - never wooda noticed any change, if
i wasn't looking for it - mebbe a slite loss of power below 3.5k, a slite gain
above...mebbe...
then about a year later, i added the kirshtein afm/ecu mods. holy shit - i had
a completely different car! the thing screams! how much the kirshtein mods are
helped by the 's' cams, i have no way of knowing. jon k now recommends fitting
a 528i afm instead of his mod'ed afm. you have to either modify the airbox lid
to accept the taller opening of the bimmer afm (same width), or install a cone
filter, and deal w/getting warm air into it, or shrouding it. on my 3.0 's'
cammed gtv6, i got the 528i afm, and had the airbox lid modified - this is a
great upgrade also... still looking for a 3.0 ecu for $100, so i can have jon
mod it - the 2.5 ecu mod for the 3.0 dint seem to do much... does let it rev
higher, tho! :>)
