oil pressure lights

Hi! 
    i've got 2 Alfas, each have 2 oil pressure sending units, 1 for the
    gauge & 1 for the warning light.  guess how many of the 4 have gone
    bad?  the only 1 i havn't replaced recently now needs replacing, at
    least some of the time!   i'm real glad that a flakey sensor doesn't
    cause the whole car 2 shut down like what happens to a friend's Saab.
    if Alfa didn't expect those sensors to go bad regularly, why'd they
    bother build in both systems?
