hail damaged car/paintless dent removal advice needed

Greetings Alfisti!
Anyone have experience with hail damaged cars?On Friday 4/23/99, a
pretty bad storm passed through the Northern VA area;which generated 10
minutes of /marble/golfball sized hail in some areas.I was in in one of those
areas, and my poor Alfie (beloved 87 Milano Gold) picked up about 17 hail
indentations on the roof and hood (but not in the trunklid, strangely
enough). Not large ones, but enough to notice and irritate me.Any ideas on how
to fix these without spending beaucoup dollars on repair? The paint wasn't
broken on any of the spots;anyone have experience with paintless dent
removal?I have access to body shops and "good ole boy" pricing if needed, but
I'm rather curious about the "no bondo/no comp deductables" paintless method.
Also, due to this hailstorm, most of the body shops in the
Centreville,Reston, Chantilly, Sterling and Leesburg VA areas are bulging at
the seams with hail repair work.If your'e going to get Alfa work done in
these areas, wait a week or two...........
Thanks in advance,
Terry Akins (with a bunch of hail damaged rental cars on the lot and a bunch
of renters giving me workdays that start at 7am and end at 8pm, as mine has
been today)
Alexandria,VA
1987 Milano Gold (Alfie, doesn't look cute at ALL with dimples)
1979 Alfetta Velocissima (undented)
