Milano ride height

I want to check the ride height in my Milano Verde and am looking for help.  
The shop manual has a very elaborate method of doing this involving placing 
loads in the vehicle in various places and then using special tools.  I 
little too involved for me! 
I'm thinking of a simple measurement from the center of the wheels to the 
wheel well opening.  This measurement would eliminate any variation caused by 
the tires themselves. 
So, I'm looking for any other owners out there to kindly measure theirs, and 
also let me know if they know if their ride heights have been modified.  I'd 
also like to know what size tires they're running and if they have any 
rubbing problems.  I'm looking at Verde's here mainly as the fender liners 
reduce the wheel opening somewhat compared to regular Milanos.
