This problem sets me thinking about the half-shafts in the
GTV6/Milano. They're essentially standard CV joints, right? Although
they have to take only a fraction of the abuse that their FWD cousins
do (not having to handle turning), are they prone to failure in the
same way? I guess failing Alfa half-shaft joints can't be checked by
driving in a tight circle...but are there other sound f/x associated
with their demise?

Or do they last for 300,000 miles?
