Re: Spider clutch problems



  I apreciate the help with my clutch problem (thanks Mark, Bruce, Les,
David & David).  I guess the general consensus is that the clutch is
rusted, or otherwise 'frozen' in place.  I had considered this, but it
seemed to me it would have to be stuck to both the flywheel and the
pressure plate, and I didn't think that would have happened after
sitting for only a year and a half.  I did drive it and it didn't break
free, but I'll try it again with the clutch depressed.
  Can I assume that even if I get it to break free that I might want to
replace it anyway?  It's got 92k on it and if it is in fact 'frozen' in
place I don't imagine it will be in too great a shape when it breaks
loose.  Yes, no?
