GTV6 - Cluch adjustment

Recently I put myself in '85 Alfa Romeo GTV6 2.5. Car is in fairly
decent shape with about 90K miles. The first problem that I noticed is
that clutch is "very high". I believe that previous owner recently
changed a  plate. Is there a way to manually adjust a clutch or I will
have to change a slave cylinder? Thank you for your help.
