Re: Hit by the Pizza Delivery Boy

Just to say thanks for all the help over the last two years with my 77 spider.
I totaled the investment with all my own labor at over 7K in parts to get it
to close to where it looked and ran the way I knew it could. Saturday evening
at sunset I got hit head on while sitting still at shopping strip drive way by
a pizza delivery boy. The insurance company says total loss. The front clip
is gone and the radiator and fan broken.
Just rebuilt engine with less than 300 miles on it. Was running great. So
after the argument with the insurance company of the driver, I'll try to apeal
to the Pizza Company, but may need some input about what you guys would settle
for. All I want is my car back. The pizza companies put these kids on the
road demanding that they get going as fast as possible. You know kids, they
need an excuse to drive crazy anyway.
I don't know what to do really, still kind of shook up. Hit head on by a kid
doing over 35mph. I was sitting in the proper lane looking the other way for
open traffic opportunity with the brake on due to slight hill when the big
bang came. No broken bones but a few bumps and scrapes. Pretty sore but
real broken hearted.

Anybody got any Ideas about a front clip, or insurance settlements, or
comments.
