yep, youre correct - I leave Adelaide, Australia at about 8:30am next
wednesday morning, and by an interesting quirk in the time zoning,
land in San Francisco exactly 45 minutes later. (before I reach
Sydney, in fact...)

Im then going to spend an extremely boring 7 hours waiting around in
SF International Airport for my travelling companions, who are flying
in from London. So if anyone has any suggestions of Amusing Things To
Do Whilst Stuck In An International Airport, please let me know!

We are staying at the Adelaide Inn, a little euro-style hotel near
Union Square - at least for the first night. After that, who knows.
We will be picking up the Berlina (yet to come up with a name!) from
Marc, probably Friday or Saturday. Ill be contacting him once we
arrive and sorting that out.

And then off into the Wild Blue Yonder...

My best guess puts us in Seattle in early May.

Once again, if anyone wants a visit from a wayward Aussie on a voyage
of discovery, send me your contact details and Ill let you know when
we will be passing your way.

There was some talk of me perhaps writing an article (or a few small
articles) for Alfa Owner, about (strangely) an Aussie driving around
the USA in an old Alfa. I havent heard anything further about this,
but I'll probably be keeping a journal for my own entertainment
later... maybe Ill get someone to post my journal entries to the
digest.

if anyone wants to contact me while I am away, I have web-mail:
dioxin@domain.elided

cheers, and seeyou all soon!
