Yes, jonathan, there is a speed limit. Under about 18k feet altitude it's 200
knots. No limit above 18k. The "under 18k" portion is actually a
generalization as that part of the atmosphere is divided and layered and
speeds imposed depending on where you are and how much humanity you are close
to.

And you should see the radar units they have to enforce the limit!
