 Subject: Brakes GTV6 Racing/Cooking Fluid

 A FEW COMMENTS FROM EXPERIENCE;
 The brakes from the factory are adequate at best, and used on the track
 (seriously) will provide the driver with the knowledge that he can go into
 turns faster because slowing is less of an option! Trying drilled rotors
front
 and rear resulted in no improvement to braking performance since the problem
 is the tremendous absorption of heat by the rear calipers. Since they are
also
 provide parking brake function as well as reducing speed that rate of
 absorption can't be changed by machining pistons to run in an inverted cup
 position (as in Dynalites,CNCs , etc.) . A easy solution ,if parking brakes
 are not a problem, is to simply replace the rear calipers with those from a
 105/115 type. These use the same pad so you can use the race pads you think
 aren't up to the task, but will probably prove otherwise. With new
 standard(undrilled) rotors braking fell from the list of things to do. Where
3
 hot laps cooked the fluid at Talledega, there was no ITS/ITA car outbreaking
 the Alfa at Roebling Road. Another braking tip. FORD High Performance brake
 fluid. $3.00 per qt. Dont believe me? check the pits at SEBRING!
