The Alfetta calipers have the automatic handbrake adjustment mechanism on
them where the 115 (and 105?) do not. Apparently this is one of the sources
of binding rear brakes, which leads to them overheating and becoming
ineffectual.
We solved our binding problem anohter way, but still are considering the
caliper swap. Apparently its a fairly common trick, but you end up with no
handbrake, which is a problem for us because one of the tracks has a
downward sloping grid!
Judicious use of heel and tow on the start is the solution, but needs to be
practiced to get it right (at first anyway)
