Air Injection pump.

Hey cats,

I asked this question a couple of months ago with
no response, so I'll try again.

What affect does the air injection pump on 79 Spica
cars have in terms of power? With/Without?

What affect does it have on catalytic converters?
With/Without?

The belt on mine seems to have been left off or fallen
off about the time I had the Shankle headers put
on. The headers have the fittings and they are all
connected. I of course have more power with the
headers but don't know what it would be like if I
put a belt on the pump. I also put on a brand new
cat and am wondering about the temperature and/or
gas makeup going into the cat.
