I have had 2 1969 1750 GTVs.  The first one, I bought new in Montreal in
Feb. 1969.  My current baby was originally bought in the Netherlands  (The
Hague) in 1969.  Both have the seats I think we are describing. My original
car was Yellow Ochre, my current was/is white.  Both cars had all black
vinyl interiors. The head rest is adjustable via a knob on the outside
(door) of the seat and only on the passenger side (LHD). The center of the
seats bottom and back, front and back have what I think we are calling the
tufts.  There is a space between the sides and the back on the front seats
(buttress).
